In my teenage years I had the privilege of having a confectioner for a father. My parents opened a small candy store in Hood River, OR. My father soon became well known for his chocolates, then opened a second store in The Dalles, OR. While making candy for both stores, he was discovered by Modern Bride Magazine and Harry & David.
While growing up, I learned a few of the basics while peeking around the door as my dad filled the home with the wonderful aroma of chocolate. Several years back I attempted the art of candy making. I had discovered my passion. The art of confection had been passed down to me. After perfecting my recipes, family and friends encouraged me to share my love of chocolatiering with others. With the support and encouragement from my wonderful husband, we were on our way to turning my dream, my vision into reality by having all the candies on display.
